Il respiro esistenziale nell’arte di Mario Nigro. Retrospettiva in Germania di un protagonista dell’arte italiana del XX secolo.
A vent’anni dalla morte di Mario Nigro (Pistoia 1917-Livorno 1992) la Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz in Germania presenta dell’artista una retrospettiva ripercorrendone la sua ricerca dal 1952 al 1992. Quest’esposizione celebra alla grande il lavoro singolarissimo,lucido e fortemente filosofico di un maestro della pittura italiana che è stato capace, fin dagli anni Quaranta, accanto alle operazioni di Burri, Fontana, Vedova e Capogrossi, di progettare,eseguire e raccontare il respiro esistenziale dell’universo, quel flusso di memoria bergsoniana, quel filo che lega ogni cosa e ogni relazione in un tensivo atto di vita. Quattro sale di questo importante museo tedesco raccontano il suo operato con opere che ne segnano il valore, interpretano la lettura del mondo, si sono materializzate dallo sguardo dell’artista, per vivere una prospettiva internazionale attraverso una continua analisi dei sistemi complessi della pittura. La sua è stata una poetica in divenire, costruendo e decostruendo, lavorando sulla tridimensionalità, sulle dinamiche psicologiche, sulle progressioni ritmiche e simultanee,sugli elementi geometrici ,su reticoli ottico- percettivi. Dall’astrazione all’arte programmata, poi si è volto all’ arte cinetica, fino alle griglie neoplastiche di Mondrian.
Nella prima sala ecco le opere che furono esposte alla Biennale di Venezia nel 1968,ovvero lavori tridimensionali a parete e a pavimento. E ancora nella stessa sala cinque tele del ciclo”Tempo totale” esposte alla Quadriennale di Roma nel 1973. Nella seconda sala il ciclo “Pannelli a scacchi” e l’opera “Pittura:fuga” riferita alla musica di Bach,per via della grande passione dell’artista per la musica in genere e per quanta incidenza essa abbia avuto nella sua arte. E a dialogare con il movimento musicale anche il ciclo “Spazio totale” nella terza sala,che va a innescare tutte quelle relazioni con l’intero cosmo, e con i palpiti e il pulsare esistenziale che stringe ogni cosa. Ancora nella terza sala sono presenti documenti originali, scritti,inviti, manifesti, cataloghi, materiale che mette sotto i riflettori l’intera storia artistica di Nigro. E per finire nella quarta sala le opere degli anni Ottanta dei cicli “Ritratti” e “Dipinti satanici” fino alle opere degli anni Novanta del ciclo “Strutture” che si lasciano leggere fortemente intrise di respiro universale e capaci di farsi luoghi di visione assoluta addirittura tra fantascienza e antimateria.
La mostra aperta fino al 3 febbraio (Theaterplatz 1- D-09111Chemnitz) è un tassello forte alla conoscenza tutta dell’opera di Nigro capace di significarsi,come lo è, radicale e fondante.
